When In Rome, Don’t Do WhatThe Romans Would Do…

Eat, drink, and be merry, for the rumors are not true.  Utah’s Cheers is here to stay!

Those who have frequented our western slopes and experienced “The Greatest Snow on Earth!” at the resorts in both Cottonwood Canyons, know of a hidden gem in the woods of the Borough known as Holladay.  Since 1966 this place has been perfecting its well known menu item, seasoned its flattop (grill surface), welcomed active and inactive patrons, and generally has retained its traditional Beer Tavern feel.  You wont find  “Norm” here, but you will find a great burger and simple vibe…you gotta try this place!  This is, The Cotton Bottom Inn!

Owned by the same family, since their matriarch built it with assistance from the Coors Brewery (as traditions notes), owner Tony Chlepas and his daughter who manages

the place (Ashley) continue the tradition of Tony’s mother providing a local Beer Tavern for locals!  New comers are welcomed and soon learn what the locals know already…this place creates an un-quenchable desire to get a garlic fix.

Known locally as a “Beer Bar”, grandfathered since the rules were changed in Utah, The Cotton Bottom Inn is able to focus on a what locals want, great beer, low costs, and grub that hits the spot.  Though there are other great selections on the menu, don’t let anyone dissuade you from getting their Salt Lake City Famous Garlic Burger.  There are others who try, but this is the place!  When you kick out 150 to 300 burgers a day, you know this place has got to be doing it right.

The consistency of flavor and taste are un-matched.  Mix in a pitcher of ale or lager of your choice and you have got a righteous meal.  With veggies (lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and/or peperoncinos) or without, with cheese or without, one-two-or three patties…This burger will leave you wanting more.

Relaxing vibes all year long, inside and out.  Come often and you will soon be considered a locale.  No airs, just down right outrageous and righteous burgers and great beer.  Truly a vestige from an earlier and simpler time.  Tony and his staff welcome you in through the kitchen, were you see the magic and your hunger increases.  You gotta check this place out.
